Autumn Fayre 30th September 2023
On September 30th 2023 we organised an Autumn Fayre at Stirchley Baths. Our aim was to organise a family fun community event for all with a different vibe something that families, and young and older people could all enjoy.
We had a variety of activities and entertainment for everyone as well as competitions, including a Victoria Sponge Bake Off where the winners received a plaque and a gift voucher from a local supermarket. We also held a raffle with many great prizes donated from local businesses wishing to support the event.
For the younger visitors we had some children's crafts with the local tot's group as well as biscuit decorating. They could also get their faces painted by Marta, a very talented face painter, local to the area.
In the main hall we had a fantastic display from the Stirchley History Group and many craft stalls for people to pick up some great bargins. The kids loved the hook a gift bag game filled with treats and everyone was a winner.
We sold cakes to support MacMillan Charity and also had a tombola with lots of great prizes donated by local residents and businesses.
We had a photo booth setup so you could have your picture taken with David Beckham or Iron Man or even in a Barbie car or at a disco with lots of great props to wear.
Calypso Moon an all-female vintage jazz band provided some fantastic musical entertainment for everyone. Also a mixed-age local group who signed through song showed us their signing skills. We also had a special guest appearance from Lilo and Stitch.

Many of our volunteer helpers were from our Friday Cuppa and Chat group.
The event was well attended and we have received a great deal of good feedback consider that the event met the aims of the group and provided the chance to make good memories.

Stirchley Circle 22 invites you to drop in to enjoy a tea or coffee and have a friendly chat within the lovely warm atmosphere of Stirchley Baths. We are providing a meeting point for older residents of the community and also occasionally guest speakers will join us to discuss subjects of interest.
